A seated hour

Buying evening

The buying evening is for the person who signs the supplier list. It is a table, the drawings, and enough time to mark what will be ordered and what will be left.

An evening table with blank ivory sheets, a copper lamp, and two velvet chairs

Who asks for it

Owners and the relative or buyer who actually writes the order. Best after a stockroom reading. Available from papers alone when a count is not wanted yet.

What you leave with

The order list you came in with, marked against the drawings: lines to repeat, lines to pause, and questions you still need to ask the supplier. We do not send the order.

Who does the work

Suda Prasert sits the hour. Kiet Thongchai prepares the pages when the evening is not attached to a finished reading.

Before we arrive

Bring the order you were about to send. If there is no reading yet, send the stock cards at least four days before the evening.

Bounds of the file

The hour is booked on Tuesday to Saturday. A count is not performed during a buying evening. Papers-only evenings cannot show what the back room is hiding.

In the file

  • Ninety minutes at the Seri Thai desk, or at your shop if the day's trade is finished
  • The latest reading if one is already in the file
  • Or, if there is no reading, a thinner note prepared from stock cards and invoices you send ahead
  • Your copy of the marked pages

Left with you and your own advisers

  • A new count of the floor
  • Supplier negotiations
  • A room of more than six people

The order of the work

  1. 01

    Which papers

If a reading is already bound, we use that. If not, you send the cards and the last invoices a few days ahead so Kiet can prepare a thinner note.

  2. 02

    The hour

We sit. You mark the list. We answer only from the pages in front of us.

  3. 03

    What you take

The marked pages stay with you. We keep a copy in the file.
